About us
In June 2012, Century Aluminum Company purchased the plant for the manufacturing of carbon anodes in Vlissingen, with the aim to produce anodes for its Iceland operations. The anode plant in Vlissingen is a subsidiary of Century Aluminum Company.
Anodes
Anodes are carbon blocks used as conductors in the electrolysis process by which aluminum is produced.
Our anodes are used in the aluminum making proces at Nordural Grundartangi ehf., an affiliate of Century Aluminum Vlissingen B.V.. This company Nordural produces the low-carbon aluminum!
